What an affiliate link is
When you click a link from this site to a partner like GetYourGuide or Booking.com and complete a booking, the partner pays us a percentage of their fee — usually somewhere between 4% and 25% depending on the network and product. The cost to you does not change. The price you see on the partner’s site is the price you pay.
Editorial independence is not for sale
This is the part that matters: commission rates do not affect rankings. Here is why we can credibly say that.
We do not let affiliate availability decide what we recommend. Our editorial process picks the best options for the reader first — based on the testing rubric explained on how we test — and only afterwards do we look for an affiliate partner who carries that option. If the best operator has no affiliate programme, we link to them anyway, with no commission for us.
That order matters. A site that picks the highest-commission product first and writes the review backwards is selling you out. We do not.

This disclosure appears on every page that contains affiliate links, in addition to this dedicated page.
European Union and United Kingdom: Under the UCPD and equivalent national rules, commercial intent must be clearly identifiable. Affiliate links on this site are labelled where reasonably possible, and the presence of affiliate relationships is disclosed prominently here and in page footers. Sponsored content — which we do not currently publish — would be labelled “Werbung” or “Anzeige” in German contexts and “Advertisement” in English contexts.
If we ever publish anything paid for by a third party, it will be labelled as advertising at the top of the page and excluded from editorial scoring. We do not currently accept paid placements of any kind.
