Effective date: 12 May 2026.
These terms govern your use of oradelgarda.com (the “site”), operated by Loïc Moncany trading as Ora del Garda (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Acceptance of terms
Using the site — browsing pages, clicking links, submitting a contact form, or otherwise interacting with our content — constitutes acceptance of these terms and of the privacy policy and cookie policy referenced here.
2. Use of the site
The site is provided for personal, non-commercial information purposes. You may read, share links to, and quote short extracts of our content for personal use or in genuine editorial commentary with proper attribution. You may not:
- republish substantial portions of our content on other websites, apps, social media accounts, or printed publications without prior written permission;
- scrape, crawl, or systematically harvest the site for commercial purposes, including for training generative AI models, without prior written permission;
- frame, mirror, or present our content in a manner that suggests endorsement or affiliation we have not given;
- interfere with the security or integrity of the site, attempt to access non-public areas, or probe for vulnerabilities other than through responsible disclosure to hello@oradelgarda.com.
3. Travel information — not advice
Content on Ora del Garda is travel information, not travel advice. We do our best to publish accurate, current information based on first-hand experience and primary sources, but conditions at Lake Garda and the surrounding region change constantly — weather, water levels, opening hours, prices, transport schedules, regulations, visa rules, and operator status all vary.
Before relying on anything you read here for a booking or a journey:
- Verify safety and weather conditions with the appropriate local authority, including the Garda navigation authority for on-water activities and CAI / regional rescue services for mountain activities.
- Check visa, entry, customs, and travel insurance requirements with the official sources for your country of departure and citizenship.
- Confirm prices, opening hours, and cancellation policies directly with the operator or booking platform at the time of booking. Our published prices are indicative and can change without notice.
- Take out appropriate travel and activity insurance. This is especially important for sailing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, via ferrata, climbing, paragliding, and similar activities. We are not your insurer.
We are not licensed travel agents, tour operators, or financial advisors. Nothing on this site constitutes professional advice.
4. Third-party services and bookings
The site links to third-party operators, hotels, attractions, restaurants, and booking platforms (“operators”). Some of these links are affiliate links — see our affiliate disclosure.
When you book with an operator, your contract is with that operator, not with Ora del Garda. We are not party to your booking. We do not handle your payment, your booking, your refund, your insurance, your complaint, or any aspect of the service you receive from the operator.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:
- the quality, safety, legality, performance, accuracy of description, or fitness for purpose of any product, service, accommodation, transport, or experience offered by a third party;
- losses (financial, personal, or otherwise) arising from your dealings with a third-party operator;
- changes to the operator’s pricing, availability, terms, cancellation policy, or business status after the time we last reviewed them.
If you have a complaint about an operator we recommend, please first raise it directly with the operator. We are also happy to hear about it at hello@oradelgarda.com — it helps us re-score and protect future readers.
5. Intellectual property
All content on the site — text, photographs, illustrations, maps, layouts, data compilations, scoring methodology, and site design — is the intellectual property of Ora del Garda or its licensed contributors, unless explicitly attributed otherwise. All rights reserved.
You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link back to the source page. For longer use, syndication, translation, or commercial republication, contact hello@oradelgarda.com for written permission.
Brand names, logos, and trademarks belonging to operators, hotels, attractions, and other third parties are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification and editorial purposes only.
6. User-submitted content
If you send us content — comments, photographs, suggestions, corrections, or contact form messages — you confirm that the content is yours to share and that you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, edit, store, and use it in connection with operating the site, including by quoting it in published articles where relevant. You can ask us to remove user-submitted content attributed to you by emailing hello@oradelgarda.com.
We do not currently host public comments. If we add them in future, we reserve the right to moderate or remove content at our discretion.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you in connection with the site or its content is capped at one hundred euros (€100). We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, loss of profit, loss of holiday enjoyment, and loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
8. Modifications to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Effective date” above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes we will display a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of France [placeholder — confirm at incorporation], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France [placeholder], except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings before your local courts.
10. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force. The unenforceable provision will be interpreted in the way that most closely reflects its original intent within the limits of applicable law.
11. Contact for legal matters
For legal notices, takedown requests, IP enquiries, and other formal correspondence: hello@oradelgarda.com, addressed to “Legal — Ora del Garda.”
